Men’s Ministries

Men’s Ministries… Iron sharpens iron, So one man  sharpens another. ~ Proverbs 27:17
Men’s Bible Studies
Various Bible Studies are held throughout the week. Please contact the church office for a list of current studies.
Men’s Retreat:  Watch the Connection page for upcoming retreats.
Highland Park Men’s Ministry exists to bring men together for discipleship and encouragement; to grow in relationship with the Lord, leadership in families, service in the local church, and witness in the community (Prov. 27:17; 2 Tim. 2:2).
We accomplish these goals by:
  • Discipleship Groups/Bible Studies
  • Fellowship Events
  • Service Opportunities
For more information about this ministry, please speak to someone at the Welcome Desk or contact the church office, (402) 564-5853.

Women’s Ministries

Journey
We understand it can be a challenge to connect with other women in church. It’s our desire to provide opportunities for you to interact with other women and be inspired, challenged and equipped for the journey of life! We were Created to help women go DEEPER in their walk with Jesus and relationships with each other.
Selah Bible Study
The word “Selah” is used 74 times throughout the Bible. This beautiful word denotes a moment of time to pause, think and remember God for His abundant goodness.
If you would like more information or would like to join a Selah group, contact Sue Christensen (sojourners@highlandparkministries.org) or Shelley Noonan (journey@highlandparkministries.org).

Care Groups

Care Groups… A place to connect, belong and grow!
Our goal is to build strong, caring relationships in an informal setting. One of the primary ways we build relationships and cultivate fellowship with each other here is through a network of small groups—what we call “Care Groups.” While we are joined to all believers in the local church, Care Groups allow us to relate more deeply with a small number of people. An integral part of our church’s ministry, Care Groups provide an important context for accomplishing a number of biblical priorities.
Purpose:
  1. Application of God’s word to our lives. Merely hearing God’s word is insufficient; we must apply it to our lives for there to be fruit. Care Groups enable us to do this together. We seek to apply the Bible’s teaching, review Sunday messages, discuss Christian books, and use a variety of other resources with the intention of growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. Pursuit of Biblical fellowship. Genuine fellowship isn’t practical in a large crowd. Care Groups provide a place where we can build intimate relationships, care for one another, and help each other grow in our relationship with God.
  3. Ministry to one another. God has made us dependent on each other, and Care Groups provide a context where we can minister to each other with the gifts that God has given us. Meetings often include times of prayer for one another and opportunities for individuals to exercise spiritual gifts for the edification of others.
Interested? Please visit the Welcome Desk on a Sunday morning for more information.

Meals on Wheels

Periodically, Highland Park is responsible to deliver Meals on Wheels. This ministry has a time commitment of one week, five times a year.  It takes about an hour from start to finish, 11 am to 12 noon.  Parents and children are welcome to help as those who are shut in especially love to see little ones at their door along with a hot meal.  If you would like to help in this ministry, contact Gina Gwinner or the church office, (402)564-5853.
