Care Groups
Cultivating relationships centered on loving and serving one another
We know that Sunday mornings alone are not sufficient to cultivate relationships centered on loving and serving one another. Therefore, our church provides what we call, “Care Groups” which meet throughout Columbus, twice a month. Care Groups are one of the primary ways, we accomplish our vision as a church.
The groups serve as a relationship network that facilitate fellowship and provide deliberate discipleship. These groups are made up of 10–20 people from all stages of life that typically meet in someone’s home or at the church. Groups generally enjoy a meal or dessert together, pray together, share life together, and study God’s Word together. We encourage every member of Highland Park to be involved in a Care group.
“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” — Romans 12:9-13

Meet our groups
Albin Care Group
Hosts: Jeremy Albin & Karin Ashley-Albin
When: Meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month
They discuss the “Living It Out” questions from the sermon and reserve some time for prayer towards the end of the evening. Children are welcomed and childcare is provided.
Bennett Care Group
Hosts: Kevin & Joan Bennett
When: Meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month in the old fellowship hall following the worship service.
They share a meal and review the morning’s sermon. Come join this group for encouragement in God’s Word.
Wolfe Care Group
Hosts: Jon & Beth Wolfe
When: Meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at the home of Jon & Beth Wolfe
Children are welcomed, but no babysitting is provided.
Stoeckle/Wurdeman Care Group
Hosts: Matt & Cindy Stoeckle, Mark & Michelle Wurdeman
When: Meets on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month. Alternates between the hosts’ houses.
Children are welcomed, but no babysitting is provided.
Catsinas Care Group
Hosts: David & Madeleine Catsinas
When: Meets every other week at the Catsinas home following the Sunday service. A meal is shared followed by review of the sermon from that morning.
Children are welcomed, but no babysitting is provided.
